About me
30 years of cycling. 1,000 songs.

For many years I took part in indoor cycling as a participant in the cities where I happened to live. After a workday spent mostly sitting, I always found the combination of exercise and music the perfect counterbalance. Every instructor has their own signature – I liked a lot of it and made a mental note. As for the music, though, I increasingly came across classes where I found the selection less than ideal. So the decision matured to take matters into my own hands.
In the beginning I prepared my classes didactically in full, the way we had been shown – content elements and pieces of music were settled beforehand. More and more often, however, I noticed that my theoretical preselection didn't fit the group that was actually there. Today I have completely moved away from ready-made playlists and play live, so to speak. In doing so I also found that it comes easily to me to adapt the teaching spontaneously to the participants.
Not everyone likes my choice of music – some simply feel more motivated by hard techno beats. Everyone is free to choose: in all the studios many different instructors are at work, so there is plenty of choice. Some people ask me specifically about my playlists, though – so I've made a few of them available further down.

The playlists
Playing live means: no class sounds like another. If you like my choice of music, feel free to listen to or download selected playlists (sorted by beat). (Spotify)
